Executive Chef David Foot’s culinary career has allowed him to become experienced in a broad range of Classical, International & Contemporary Cuisine. Chef Foot is a classically trained chef who has worked with Westin, Sheraton, Fairmont and Shangri-la Hotels around the world. His creative expertise and culinary talent are coupled with a solid foundation in modern management techniques. Chef Foot believes in a robust training program, encouragement, and career mentoring that aims for improvement and professional development among the kitchen brigade. His abilities as a manager and dedicated Chef, have rewarded him with a loyal staff following paired with an optimistic, hard-working, and committed crew. A professional and career-minded atmosphere, the kitchen goes far to foster a positive environment among all areas which is especially true between the front and back of house. Jae was born and raised in South Korea and moved to Canada in 2005. He started his career as a part time banquet server and has been working various roles within the food and beverage world. He moved to Kelowna in 2019 which provided him with a great opportunity to work with the amazing team at Oak +Cru. Jae’s passion is connecting with people, sharing stories and fostering lifelong relationships. In his free time, Jae enjoys exploring all that the Okanagan has to offer with his 3 beautiful children and loving wife.
