Sous Chef Oak + Cru

Oak+Cru Sous Chef, Eugene Hicks grew up in 100 Mile House.

Referred to locally as “Hundred Mile”, Eugene’s home town offers rustic charm, beautiful lakes, plentiful outdoor activities, unique guest and dude ranches and lots of cowboy culture and history to soak up.

Leaving that town, Eugene did his apprenticeship at Okanagan College, here in Kelowna.

Since graduation, he has worked mostly in golf courses and wineries, including Summerhill and the Okanagan Golf Club.

Favourite cocktail: Gin and Tonic

Favourite snack: Chips and Salsa

Hobby: Baseball and Hockey

Indulgence: 90s bands (good and bad)
